excerpt from chapter 14: The
Gracious Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name, and I ask you to forgive me of all of my sins, whatever they may be. I ask that you would wash me and cleanse me from all of my sins right now in the precious blood of Jesus; the blood that He shed on the cross for me. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, oh Lord. Help me to love you Lord, help me to serve you Lord, help me to do it with all of my heart and to lift you up. Give me a spirit of humility and meekness that others can see. Make me a light in the world to those around me. Help me to be the person that you want me to be, oh God. Give me a willing heart, and an open mind to your Word, the Holy Bible. Be merciful, oh God, to me, a sinner, for Christ’s sake, in whose name I pray, amen.
excerpt from chapter 17: A Call to Action
Gracious Heavenly Father, I come to you right now in the name of Jesus Christ, your only son. Oh Lord, have mercy on our great nation today and help us to know whether these things that are presented here are things you have set before us as a nation or not. Help us to know the truth in these matters, to discern the truth in these proposals, to know how to behave ourselves in response to this book and all that it pertains to and all that it sets now before us. Oh Gracious Heavenly Father, have mercy on us and on our children and help us to do all of those things which we must do to win the battle, to take the day. Help us, oh Lord, to know exactly what we must do, for Christ’s sake in whose name we pray, amen.
